Medical-grade skin brightening using glutathione drips, mesotherapy, Q-switched lasers and chemical peels — safe for South Asian skin. Even tone, natural glow, lasting results.
Even Tone, Natural Glow — Not Bleaching
Medical skin whitening — also called skin brightening, skin lightening, or depigmentation therapy — is a doctor-supervised treatment that reduces excess melanin (the pigment that gives skin its colour) caused by sun damage, hormones, acne marks or melasma. It restores your natural, even skin tone — it does not bleach you to an unnatural colour.
The treatment works by reducing the activity of tyrosinase (the enzyme that makes melanin) and shifting the type of melanin from dark eumelanin to lighter pheomelanin. Common active ingredients used at Elore are glutathione, tranexamic acid, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), kojic acid, niacinamide, azelaic acid and arbutin — all clinically proven and safe for South Asian skin.
We never use mercury creams, high-strength hydroquinone, or steroid-based whitening creams that damage the skin barrier. Every plan is custom-built by our dermatologist after Wood's lamp examination — and follows international safety guidelines for Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin tones.
Four Methods We Combine
Skin whitening works best when 2–3 methods are combined. Your dermatologist will choose the right combination for your skin type and pigmentation cause.
Glutathione IV Drip
Most EffectiveGlutathione (the body's "master antioxidant") is given directly into your bloodstream through an IV drip. It works inside the cells to slow down melanin production and shift dark eumelanin into lighter pheomelanin. Combined with vitamin C and alpha lipoic acid for the best results. Visible glow in 4–6 sessions.
Overall skin tone brightening, even complexion, dull tired-looking skin
Skin Whitening Mesotherapy
TargetedA custom skin-brightening cocktail (glutathione + vitamin C + tranexamic acid + hyaluronic acid) is injected with tiny needles directly into the dermis layer of your skin. The active ingredients reach exactly where melanin is being produced, giving faster and more targeted results than creams.
Melasma, pigmentation patches, dull skin, uneven tone, post-acne marks
Q-Switched & Pico Laser
PigmentationQ-switched Nd:YAG and picosecond lasers break down clusters of melanin pigment into tiny particles that your body then clears away naturally. Excellent for stubborn pigmentation, sun spots, melasma and uneven dark patches. Safe for South Asian Fitzpatrick IV–VI skin tones.
Dark spots, melasma, sun damage, post-acne pigmentation, uneven dark patches
Chemical Peels
Surface RenewalMedical-grade peels — mandelic acid for sensitive skin, glycolic acid for general brightening, kojic acid for melasma, and TCA peels for stubborn pigmentation. They gently remove the outer layer of dull, pigmented skin so fresher, brighter skin appears underneath.

Four Common Pigmentation Concerns
Melasma & Hormonal Pigmentation
Brown patches on cheeks, forehead and upper lip — often caused by hormones, pregnancy, birth control pills or sun exposure. Treated with a combination of mesotherapy, oral tranexamic acid, lasers and broad-spectrum SPF.
Post-Acne Dark Marks (PIH)
Brown or grey marks left behind after pimples heal — extremely common in South Asian skin. Treated with chemical peels, glutathione, niacinamide and microneedling for faster fade.
Sun Damage & Tanning
Years of sun exposure cause overall darkening, freckles and patchy tan. Treated with Q-switched laser, glutathione IV, vitamin C infusion and proper sun protection going forward.
Dull, Tired-Looking Skin
No specific dark patches — just an overall lack of glow. Best treated with glutathione drips, regular HydraFacial and antioxidant mesotherapy to restore natural brightness from within.
Your Brightening Journey
Skin Analysis & Diagnosis
Your skin is examined under a Wood's lamp and dermascope to identify the type and depth of pigmentation. Melasma, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, sun damage and freckles all need different treatments — so accurate diagnosis comes first.
Custom Treatment Plan
Based on your diagnosis, skin tone (Fitzpatrick scale), and lifestyle, your dermatologist designs a personalised plan. This usually combines 2–3 treatments — for example glutathione drip + chemical peels + at-home brightening creams — for the fastest, longest-lasting result.
In-Clinic Sessions
Sessions are typically 30–60 minutes and spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Most patients need 4–8 sessions to see significant change. You will see gradual brightening from session 2 onwards. Full results usually appear by session 6.
Maintenance & Sun Protection
Once you reach your goal tone, monthly maintenance sessions keep the result stable. The most important rule: SPF 50 every single day, even indoors. Without sun protection, pigmentation always comes back. We provide a personalised home skincare routine.
Session by Session Results
Skin brightening is a gradual, layered process. You will see small changes from week 2 and significant results by session 4. Patience and sun protection are the two most important things.
No visible result yet — but your custom routine starts working under the surface. Mild redness or warmth from any laser/peel session settles within hours.
First visible change — overall skin looks brighter and more even. Dark spots start fading at the edges. Skin feels smoother and more hydrated.
Significant improvement visible. 30–50% reduction in pigmentation. Most patients say friends notice the change. Confidence boost begins.
Final results visible. Pigmentation 60–80% lighter. Skin tone even and luminous. Most patients move to monthly maintenance.
Monthly glutathione push or mesotherapy session keeps results stable. Daily SPF 50 + brightening serum at home is essential.
Skin stays bright as long as you protect from sun and continue your home routine. Without daily SPF, pigmentation returns within 3–6 months — sun protection is non-negotiable.
Good Candidates & Who Should Wait
Ideal Candidates
- You have melasma, sun damage, post-acne marks or dull uneven skin
- You are committed to daily broad-spectrum SPF 50 sun protection
- You are willing to do 4–8 in-clinic sessions over 2–4 months
- You have realistic expectations — natural brightening, not bleaching
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding
- You can avoid direct sun exposure during the treatment course
Better to Wait If
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding (most active ingredients are restricted)
- Active acne breakouts on the area being treated
- Allergy to glutathione, vitamin C or tranexamic acid (patch test confirmed)
- Recent isotretinoin (Accutane) — wait 6 months after stopping
- Looking for unrealistic colour change — this restores your natural even tone, not 5 shades lighter
- Unable to commit to daily sun protection
A consultation will tell you exactly which method suits your pigmentation, skin type and lifestyle.
